We are looking for a new Executive Director Resources and Transformation to join us in delivering our ambitious agenda for the residents of Salford. As part of the Corporate Management Team, you will work closely with colleagues, the Chief Executive and City Mayor, to ensure that the ‘Great Eight’ priorities are delivered. You will be the key strategic transformation and change lead across the council, spotting opportunities to innovate and implement outcomes that will deliver business improvement and culture change. The role also faces outwards and you will build and sustain effective relationships with key partners and stakeholders ensuring strong systems leadership and a coordinated approach to reform, to better outcomes and to building greater community capacity.
Through hard work and effective financial management, Salford is in a sound and resilient financial position, which you and the new Chief Finance Officer will continue. You will provide strategic leadership across Finance, HR & OD, Policy & Performance, Digital Data & Technology, Customer Services, Legal & Governance, Communications, and Procurement. Inspiring your direct reports, you will embed positive leadership behaviours, champion continual learning live and breathe our values and ensure the Spirit of Salford is at the heart of how we operate.
To be a success, you will have led success across similar functions within an organisation of comparable complexity and scope of social impact, resource and accountability. You will be a change agent, able to point to experience of planning and delivering large change programmes which brought about positive improvements. You will understand good governance and have worked in democratically accountable organisations, appreciating the democratic process and political dynamics. A natural communicator and collaborator, this role will showcase your leadership and relationship management skills, and reward you in a multitude of ways.
